This is an example of a fesh water lake dredging operation. The objective of the operation was the removal of silt from
the lake bottom to restore lake capacity from years of infiltration. Silt was dredged from the bottom of the lake and
pumped to a series of belt presses. The belt presses then compressed the slurry, separating the water and silt. The silt
was then conveyed into piles to be used as fill. Many other different methods may be used to dispose of dredged
material. Contact us for more information on dredging processes.
