VMI Sludgifier Attachment |
VMI offers a solidifier known as the Sludgifier excavator attachment which attaches to a track-hoe excavator in place of
the bucket. The sludgifier has a patented mixing drum for use in remediation projects. The sludgifier excavator
attachment has the ability to be adapted to use either a liquid or dry mixing reagent. The unit is powered by its own
diesel/hydraulic power-pack which mounts on the back of the excavator in place of the counter weight. All of the controls
are installed in the operators cab for easy operation.
The sludgifier excavator attachment has a manifold induction system that feeds a reagent evenly over the mixing drum.
The reagent is mixed into the material by a 30" x 8' mixing drum with knife-like teeth. The mixing drum is driven by
planetary gear drives and axial piston motors at each end, and delivers 70,000 in-lbs of torque to the rotating mixing drum.
